Increasing numbers of clients and contractors demand that their projects are procured with BIM.

And there's the Government’s stance on BIM:

"We have commissioned a team drawn from BIM users across the industry - clients, suppliers, and software developers - to prepare a route map that shows how we can make a progressive move to the routine use of BIM." Paul Morrell, UK Government’s chief construction adviser.

So what does BIM mean for you & your office?

BIM isn’t a piece of software; it’s a process of designing that redefines relationships throughout the design team. This is the chance to find out how it affects the design process, and why those adopting it are completing projects faster, at less cost and with fewer errors.

Without doubt, being ‘BIM-ready’ helps win new business in today’s business environment.

This season’s seminars will focus on showing you how you can plan and execute a move from CAD to BIM in a controlled and structured manner without disrupting your everyday business and how easily you can make the move from a CAD-based design platform to BIM.

Anyone who has been to a MicroCAD construction industry seminar will know that they are informative and helpful to AEC professionals of all disciplines.  Below are some critiques of our BIM seminars in October 2011.

"A clear, concise presentation on a very relevant topic.  Enthusiastically delivered with engaging examples used in the presentation.’ Tom Black – Tom Black Architects

"Great event – wealth of information.  Would like to see more events similar to this one."
Peter Setterfield – eBIM

"Having attended a session with another provider prior to yours, I found your seminar provided a far clearer overview of the overall process and was far more informative." David Pearce – Leeds Met University.

"Well structured, well presented seminar outlining the benefits of BIM and the integration with various software packages." Andrew Gillingham - Summers Inman.

We will include customer BIM Implementation experience stories – your fellow professionals who are keen to let you know how they approached the move and how they are benefiting - and how MicroCAD play a vital role in helping them through this process change.

Autodesk BIM solutions for the building industry are based on models created with Autodesk Revit software - including solutions for architecture; structural engineering; and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering.  We will be showing Revit – and how to visualise, collaborate with partners, etc.
